The Resume jailbreak tweak enables your music to continue playing after rebooting or respringing your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad whilst music is playing. It picks up right where the track left off and has full support for the Music app (and App Store players that play directly from the stock Music library such as Ecoute).
Resume will also work with third party applications such as Rdio, TuneIn Radio, Pandora, Spotify, Beats Music and iTunes Radio. The developer of Resume, Ron Thakrar, says “Support for these additional players requires some music to have been cached, so please ensure that you have been playing for a while before respringing (this is a non-issue during normal usage unless you are deliberately testing Resume).”
This tweak supports iOS 7, may or may not support other players – you will have to try and find out for yourself, and resuming on reboot only supports the stock Music app. Options can be configured in the Settings app.
Resume is available on Cydia for free via the BigBoss repository. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
